Favour Aigbokhai Umogbai has 14 years top management experience in working with low income people for access to business finance and development in the microfinance sub-sector.

A brilliant and certified Accountant, with expert in microfinance, Favour attended Federal Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo State where he obtained HND, Accountancy in 2003 and later, Master’s in Business Administration from University of Roehampton, London, United Kingdom.

His professional experience covers Overview of Microfinance Policy, Corporate Governance and Human Resources Management, Microfinance Regulatory and Supervisory Framework, Marketing Microfinance Products and Services, Audit and Internal Control of Microfinance Institutions, Liquidity Risk Management and Performance Evaluation, Information and Communication Technology in a Microfinance Environment, Financial Management and Product Development.

He started his career in 2004 with SYE Capital Ventures Ltd, Lagos, Nigeria as chief responsibility officer where he ensures that their annual work plan is implemented, in the most cost effective and efficient manner. He interfaces with investors to ensure that their interest is protected while taking full Responsibility for the success or failure of the institution.

As a result of the tremendous success and competence in Excellent Customer Services Delivery and Total Quality Management, before being appointed to lead SYE Capital Ventures Ltd, Accra, Ghana in 2012 where he succeeded and expanded the business frontiers.

He supervise currency traders, review trading positions, led loan committee to review loan and recovery with a Balance sheet of $35m, Annual turnover of $18.9m and a staff size of 24. Target set for 2007-2008 average of 70% was achieved.

He worked with Abuja Cooperative Financing as General Manager in 2013 where source whole sale funds for the agency for on lending to cooperative societies, Managed the Agency reserve and member expectation, Attend local and international conferences on cooperative issues, Chaired marketing team meeting.

He is currently, the Head, Finance & Admin at the Association of Non-Bank Microfinance Institutions of Nigeria (ANMFIN) Where he is responsible for establishing and developing internal control and systems for the organization; He formulates policies (Account and Audit) with the support of the various team members; Account for the day to day operations of the national secretariat; Attend microfinance committee meetings at the instance of the Central Bank of Nigeria on the approval of management; Report to FGN/IFAD Rural finance program institution financial controller on the program finance activity; Manage 30 staff members at the National Headquarters and 74 staff in 37 chapters, over 470 volunteers and Federal Government interns.

He has attended numerous trainings and courses in excellence customer service delivery and Relationship management, marketing management, Credit Administration and Leadership. Syndicate Session on Microfinance 2008; International Community Microfinance 2015; MFTOT, Tokyo Learning Centre 2015 among others.

He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Accountancy, Microfinance. He is happily married with children.
